Privacy notice

Last updated 19 August 2026

Short version: this site sets no cookies, has no accounts, no ads, and loads nothing from third-party servers. It counts page views in a way that cannot identify you.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There is no login, no newsletter form storing your details, no advertising network, and no social-media tracking pixel anywhere on this site.

Visitor statistics

We use GoatCounter to count page views. GoatCounter is privacy-focused analytics: it sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not store IP addresses or any data that identifies an individual. We see aggregate numbers — which pages were read, roughly where in the world readers came from at country level, and which site linked to us. We cannot see who you are.

If you would rather not be counted at all, any tracker blocker or your browser's "do not track" setting will stop it, and the site works exactly the same.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (including IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not have access to identifiable logs.

Third-party requests

There are none. Typefaces, scripts, map data and images are all served from this site's own domain — nothing is fetched from Google Fonts, a CDN, or any other outside server while you read. Your browser talks to this site and, for the page count described above, to GoatCounter. That is the complete list.

What we never do

If you write to us

Once a contact address is published, any message you send is used to reply and for nothing else. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful, and never add anyone to a mailing list.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you. In practice we hold none — but if you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Contact

A contact address for privacy questions will be published here shortly. Until then, this notice stands as a statement of practice: we hold no personal data.
